The Design Process

Finding inspiration in your passions and lifestyle, I will develop a full-home concept that is an authentic reflection of how you love to live. I believe that interior design is deeply personal, and my process addresses what is most important to you at every stage.

OUR PROCESS

STEP 1: GETTING started

I start every project by getting to know you. I like hearing what inspires you and understanding what you hope to achieve through the design process. During this initial discovery session, I will explore your style preferences and design goals.

STEP 2: the house call

The house call is our discovery meeting. It gives me the information I need to analyze and evaluate all the design possibilities.

Visiting your home in person will allow me to gain a better perspective of the space. I will take pictures of the room(s), measurements, and notes to create a visual tool for my inspiration as we begin our design journey together.

STEP 3: INSPIRATION MEETING

I will arrive with inspirational images I have thoughtfully cultivated that reflect today’s designs and lifestyles to guide and direct the design process. The inspiration meeting is about presenting a wide array of ideas and developing the best design approach to foster a trusting relationship. This ensures each element of the project is thoughtfully considered and tailored to suit your unique style.

STEP 4: DESIGN PRESENTATION

I will present you with a curated mood board with all the key design elements such as fabrics, wallpaper, hardware, lighting, and furniture layout options. This representation of your new interior actually allows you to touch, feel, and envision every detail of your bespoke design.

STEP 5: PROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION

Upon your approval of all design elements, I will place the orders and create a project timeline. The project timeline will help manage job site visits with general contractors, third party vendor appointments, receiving, and installation. I will oversee all the details of the project from start to finish. As the items arrive, they will be stored in a secured warehouse of your choice until the big installation day! I will coordinate all logistics for the installation so that each piece is meticulously placed in your home.

STEP 6: AND FINALLY… THE REVEAL

My biggest joy is to reveal your new home! This is the moment every designer loves and no client ever forgets. It’s the moment when the project is complete, the design work is finished, and the transformation is ready to be unveiled. Welcome to your new home!
